Sr. Master Moore began training in Okinawan weapons in 1978, and has been training in Hapkido and Taekwondo since 1984. Besides his extensive knowledge and dedication to the martial arts, Sr. Master Moore is a dedicated instructor. Since the day that he opened the Academy of Hosinsul/South Elgin Martial Arts, he has worked diligently and effortlessly towards the cultivation of his many students. He strives not only to teach martial art, but to instill what he calls, "life lessons" to the students that train with him. It is his belief that people should learn martial arts to protect themselves, but they must also develop themselves as a person through their training.

Sr. Master Donald Moore is one of the premier martial artists in the country today. This is proved by his numerous awards, extensive certification, and incredible knowledge of martial arts and it's community.
