What is Tai Chi Qigong?
Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient form of martial arts developed in China. While there are many useful martial applications in this system there are also many health benefits derived from it. These health benefits can range from individual conditions to general physical fitness. Qigong is a form of breathing and meditation that has been proven to have health benefits.
What is Synergy Tai Chi Qigong?
Synergy Tai Chi Qigong is a short and easy to follow method of circulating and cultivating Chi. This style can be performed from a standing position as well as a seated one. We find that the seated exercises are very helpful for people who are less stable on their feet than others.
Styles of Tai Chi
There are generally five major styles of Tai Chi. Synergy Tai Chi is a general Yang style with heavy influences from Chen and Sun Styles.
What will I learn in this six week session?
- Standing Chi Kung Exercises
- We will be covering the first 9 sequences of the International Simplified Synergy Yang 24 Forms.
- Seated Chi Kung Exercises
- We will be covering the first 9 sequences of the International Simplified Synergy Yang 24 Forms.
- Two person Chi Kung Exercises
- Hands forward facing each other feeling each other’s Chi
- On hand up one hand down receiving and transmitting Chi
- Basic one and two hand Tui Shou (Push Hands)
