The Dan Bong is an effective but under appreciated weapon. It can be used with either striking or joint locking as a force multiplier. Most importantly, the Dan Bong is an environmental weapon; the wooden sticks used in training are representations for any number of objects that you might use in a self defense scenario: flash-light, pen, screwdriver, and umbrella just to name a few.

South Elgin Martial Arts Headmaster Donald Moore is the Director of the ICHF Dan Bong Program. He has developed his own Dan Bong program after several years of research and study, selecting only the most practical, realistic, and effective techniques.
